Every Crossroads Car Hire vehicle is comprehensively insured. Choose the excess liability level that suits your journey, budget and preferred level of cover.
One rental. Several ways to manage your excess.
Standard comprehensive insurance is included with your rental. The standard excess liability is N$35,000 per incident.
If you would prefer to reduce the amount for which you may be liable following an insured incident, Crossroads offers several optional excess reduction packages.

Prices shown are additional daily charges over and above the normal vehicle rental rate.
Extra protection for the roads you travel.
Tyre and windscreen damage is excluded from the standard rental cover unless the relevant optional cover is selected.
Namibia's long gravel roads can increase exposure to stone chips and tyre damage, so additional cover can be selected before your rental begins.

How the deposit works.
The applicable excess liability amount is secured before vehicle collection.
Provided the vehicle is returned in accordance with the rental agreement and no applicable damage or charges arise, the secured amount is released or refunded accordingly.
Your journey does not have to stop at Namibia's border.
Notify Crossroads in advance whenever cross-border travel is planned so that the necessary documentation and approvals can be arranged.
Cover has conditions.
Insurance does not cover damage arising from the following circumstances identified in the current Crossroads insurance information:
Negligent Driving
Negligent or reckless use of the rental vehicle.
Alcohol or Drugs
Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Water Damage
Water damage or river crossings.
Restricted Roads
Driving on restricted roads or in prohibited areas.
Road Regulations
Failure to comply with Namibia's road regulations and rental terms.
